ACCADUEO wishes to propose itself with renewed momentum and dynamism as the stage dedicated to promoting technological innovation and therefore offer further input for technical and scientific updating available to business operators. From here comes the idea to present, alongside the second edition of the Guide to Novelties / Inventions, a dedicated display called The Innovation Showcase.

The Innovation Showcase will be dedicated to a selection of novelties / inventions presented by manufacturers of components and equipment, and will constitute the final stage of a path for choosing novelties, inventions or functional innovations in the fields of software/services applications, pumps/machinery/facilities, and instrumentation under the supervision of a special technical and scientific commission of experts coming from water services management companies.   

Project realisation stages

The Guide to Novelties - Inventions will contain novelties and inventions recommended by manufacturers who will exhibit at H2O-ACCADUEO and will be distributed at the show to all exhibit visitors.

The Innovation Showcase and the Guide to Novelties - Inventions will be aimed at the following merchandise macro-categories:

• SOFTWARE/SERVICES APPLICATIONS
• MAINS SUPPLIES/WELLS
• PUMPS/MACHINERY/FACILITIES
• INSTRUMENTATION

Each novelty/invention profile contained in the publication will be catalogued according to the following categories:

• Basic invention/innovation, for innovations covered by patent;

• Functional innovation, for a product that improves an existing product (which has been redesigned adding new features, lowering costs, reducing energy consumption, etc.);
• Novelties, for new products added to enrich an existing production range (new project, new design, modifications to external appearance, addition of dimensions, functional variations, etc.).

The 2010 edition of the Guide highlighted the following trends:

• from the point of view of facilities, machinery construction details have been optimised to obtain the best performance as to the environment, hydraulics and excellent sealing reliability, using materials and painting processes that provide exceptional duration over time;
• as for mains supplies, there has been great improvement of the performance requirements in the ability to resist internal and external stress, thus increasing resistance to breaking and reducing its onset;
• of considerable importance were the novelties in the field of patented technologies to reduce the noise levels of manholes subject to vehicular traffic;
• instruments and technologies are increasingly more aimed at improving energy efficiency and reducing CO₂ emissions in industrial technical solutions and at enhancing the performance of the facilities they are designed for. They are used for light and innovative material products, with a compact and versatile design, at competitive prices.
