The industrial sector represents, following the agricultural one, the most water-demanding sector and in the same way contributes considerably to the dumping of polluting agents in the environment.
In the light of the increasingly lower availability of water resources and, consequently, of the tightening of legal obligations on waste products, as well as the growing economic impact of water sector management (delivery tariff, drainage and treatment needs), a constantly growing interest is shown by manufacturing companies toward suitable treatment technologies and systems/techniques aimed at reducing consumption and at rationalisation (also considering recovery and re-use options) of water flows within production processes.

H2O INDUSTRY is the opportunity for focusing on industrial waters, offering the chance to exhibit to all suppliers and manufacturers of technologies, treatment systems, equipment and services dedicated to managing water (supply water, process water, and wastewater) in the industrial field, as well as to sector specialists, consultants, importers and dealers.
Attention will be focussed on the more water-demanding industrial sectors in which water management is the main concern, from the viewpoint of both costs and compliance with legal requirements. A special focal point will be guaranteed to all emerging technologies able to combine water management needs required by the production process and the legal restrictions, with the possibility to improve the overall energy balance and therefore determine economic advantages. This compass will include all water management technologies aimed at achieving energy savings as well as treatment systems that will allow the utmost utilisation for energy purposes of generated by-products, first among all biogas.
