News and innovations in the gas system
Thursday 18 October 2018
10:30 - 12:30
In recent years the gas system has been marked by evolution and rapid change in context that (perhaps) few could have predicted until recently. The long-range scenario promises an inescapable process of decarbonisation of industrial supply chains that fully involves the gas system as well.
The gas system is transiting from a situation of basic stability in terms of gas, pipeline materials, and metering technologies to a multi-gas system (Natural Gas, LPG, Biomethane, BioLNG, LNG, and Hydrogen) with significant impact on gas analysis and metering systems, the development of new materials (polyamides) along with the traditional steel and polyethylene, and new instruments of management such as remote monitoring and cathodic protection.
The conference will review current legal and technological changes with food for thought and discussion on short- and medium-term developments.
