ACCADUEO 2025: OVER 200 BRANDS, EXCEEDING 2023

The 2025 edition of Accadueo, for over thirty years the international trade fair in Italy dedicated exclusively to the entire civil and industrial water supply chain, has surpassed the 2023 figures. A few weeks before the opening of the fair, 7 to 9 October, 220 brands are confirmed. They will occupy two halls at BolognaFiere for a total gross exhibition area of 9,000 square meters. The event will feature around 50 events, conferences and workshops, distributed across 5 conference room with 190 speakers. 25 utilities will be present and about 50 international buyers have been confirmed from India, Saudi Arabia, Morocco, Egypt, Libya, Ghana, Ethiopia and Nigeria.

Companies, institutions, utilities and international operators, says Paolo Angelini, CEO of BolognaFiere Water&Energy, will present concrete, measurable solutions for water management, a strategic resource for the country. Accadueo will be an accelerator of change. Not only an exhibition space, but a global scale laboratory where shared policies, new management models and projects that go beyond an emergency mindset take shape.”

Among international exhibitors the most represented non EU countries will be China, Turkey and the USA. In Europe, Germany, Austria, the United Kingdom and France. The Consulate General of Hungary will also be present with a delegation of companies, and will organize a workshop to facilitate meetings with Italian operators. Among Italian exhibitors, Lombardy will be the most represented region with almost 60 exhibitors. About 20 each will come from Emilia Romagna and Veneto, with companies also from Central and Southern regions including Lazio, Apulia and Sicily.

During the three-day event, the programme will range from the fight against climate change to the updating of European legislation on urban drainage, which commits Italy to upgrading its infrastructure and seeking solutions to improve the water sector. “The integrated water service" added Angelini, "will be called upon to acquire new skills. Substantial investments will be necessary, for which it will be essential to raise funds and find solutions that reduce losses, including through the use of “natural-based” solutions. Innovation, research and the ability of companies to discuss and offer solutions that can make the system more efficient will therefore be fundamental." Water reuse, treatment and purification, digitisation and the use of AI to reduce losses, desalination and the reduction of emerging contaminants will be at the centre of many debates that will take place at Accadueo with contributions from MASE, ANEA, REF, ISTAT, ISLE, IATT, CSDU, CSSI, CSEL, AIDARA, ANBI, ATERSIR, and others. For the first time, a Utilities Hub area will be created where companies, operators and associations can meet and present their case histories, offering food for thought for the implementation of new solutions.
