The new European directive on urban waste water was the focus of debate on the first day of Accadueo, held from October 7 to 9 at BolognaFiere, the only trade event in Italy dedicated exclusively to the civil and industrial water sector.
THE EVENT
For over 30 years, Accadueo has been the first and only international trade fair of reference in Italy, dedicated exclusively to the civil and industrial water sector, serving as a key platform for dialogue between institutions, associations, and businesses - fundamental to the systemic development of the industry.
Following the success of the 17th edition in Bari (27–28 November 2024), which explored new opportunities in Central-Southern Italy and the Mediterranean Basin, Accadueo returned to its historic venue in Bologna from 7 to 9 October 2025, reaffirming its role as the main meeting point for companies, institutions, and both national and international stakeholders.

Innovation and sustainability in the water cycle defined the exhibition area, which spanned two large pavilions where companies showcased their cutting-edge products and presented their most advanced solutions.
Alongside the exhibition area, a high-level conference program provided industry professionals with the opportunity to stay updated and informed on the latest technologies for water treatment and reuse, as well as on the digitalization and integration of AI, IoT, and Big Data for more effective monitoring and loss reduction. For the first time, special attention was given to the theme of the blue economy, highlighting innovations that enable the sustainable use of water resources.
The event will continue to alternate between Bari and Bologna, expanding its geographical scope and fostering dialogue among key industry stakeholders. This strategic rotation aims to create synergies between regions, with the objective of connecting the Italian water sector to the international landscape.
Bologna became a hub for discussion and exchange on major topics related to the ecological transition.
