Applications are now open for the Operators Mission and Workshop in Ghana – Water Treatment Sector, scheduled in Accra from 7 to 9 July 2026.
The initiative, promoted by ICE Agency in collaboration with BolognaFiere and Accadueo (H2O), is aimed at Italian companies interested in developing business relations and commercial opportunities in a market of growing interest for the water sector.
This is a concrete step in a process already started in recent months: Accadueo had already drawn attention to the prospects offered by the Ghanaian market for Italian companies in the sector.
A market focused on infrastructure, efficiency and treatment
Ghana confirms itself as one of the most dynamic and stable markets in West Africa. The Ghanaian Government has launched strategic plans for the development of water infrastructure, with the goal of achieving universal coverage by 2030. This scenario is driving growing demand for cutting-edge technologies for water purification and water distribution.
In parallel, the National Development Plan places water resource management at the centre of the country’s economic and urban growth strategy, offering Italian companies privileged access to an expanding ecosystem of opportunities.
In this context, the mission aims to facilitate direct engagement with local operators and stakeholders, offering participating companies a concrete opportunity to present their technologies, develop qualified contacts and gain a closer understanding of market needs.
A programme designed for direct market engagement
The mission will unfold over three days of activities. On 7 July, participants will arrive in Accra, with hotel transfer and an evening briefing with ICE Accra Office staff and BolognaFiere/Accadueo representatives. 8 July will be dedicated to the institutional plenary session, featuring diplomatic participation from the Italian Embassy in Accra, technical insights from the Accadueo Technical Scientific Committee, contributions from Ghanaian authorities and presentations of Italian technologies. The afternoon will include individual B2B meetings with profiled local counterparts, followed by a networking dinner with stakeholders and decision makers. Finally, on 9 July, guided visits to water treatment plants and strategic infrastructure sites in the Accra area will take place.
Accadueo’s contribution
The mission is the result of collaboration between ICE Agency, BolognaFiere and Accadueo. The circular also provides for the participation of speakers from the Accadueo Technical Scientific Committee in the technical and institutional sessions. Participants will also receive an updated Market Report prepared by the ICE Accra Office, useful for a more precise reading of the local context and sector opportunities.
Participation fee and included services
The participation fee is set at €200 + VAT, where applicable. It is important to note that this is the registration fee for the initiative and not the total cost of the mission. The fee includes access to the programme and selected services, including basic hospitality during activities, communication and direct marketing campaign on local media, non-exclusive interpreting, audio-video support for presentations, inclusion in the official promotional brochure and delivery of the updated Market Report. Travel and mission expenses remain at the companies’ charge, except where expressly stated in the circular.

Interested companies must complete the procedure through the ICE Client Area, fill in the online registration form on the events portal and submit the required documentation by PEC.
To participate in the mission, registration must be completed by 4 May 2026, according to the procedures indicated by ICE Agency.
