Internationalisation of Umbrian SMEs: participate in Accadueo 2025 with Sviluppumbria contributions

Within the framework of the Regional ERDF Program 2021-2027, Sviluppumbria has published a public notice to support internationalisation projects of Umbrian micro, small and medium-sized enterprises (MSMEs).

The call, open from 5 May to 30 September 2025, funds participation in international trade fairs taking place between 1 April 2025 and 31 March 2026, offering non-repayable grants for strategic expenses.

This initiative provides a concrete response to the needs of MSMEs aiming to expand into foreign markets, which often face economic barriers in promoting their products and services abroad. Specifically, the call falls under Action 1.3.2 "Support for the internationalisation of SMEs", pursuing the strategic objective of strengthening the competitiveness of Umbrian productivity through exports.

Who can participate

The grant is available to:

  • MSMEs with operational headquarters in Umbria,
  • Consortia, consortium companies, cooperatives, and network entities.

No previous export experience is required: the call is also open to companies entering international markets for the first time. However, it is essential that companies participate directly as official exhibitors and are listed as the holders of the exhibition space rental contract.

Eligible types of events

The call allows participation in trade fairs:

  • International, in-person or digital, in Italy,
  • International, in-person or digital, in Europe and outside the EU.

To be considered "international," fairs must meet specific requirements for the presence of foreign exhibitors or visitors (at least 15%), or be already included in the calendar approved by the Conference of Regions and Autonomous Provinces.

Fundable expenses

The notice covers a wide range of expenses related to trade fair participation, including:

  • Rental of exhibition space,
  • Setup and technical services (electricity, cleaning, internet),
  • Registration and promotion (catalogue, hostesses, interpreters),
  • Transport of products,
  • Brochures and advertising materials (up to 20% of total expenditure),
  • General management costs (recognized as a flat rate of 7%).

The non-repayable grant is calculated as a percentage of eligible expenses and varies according to the characteristics of the applying company. No minimum or maximum amounts are specified in the official text, but expense eligibility is strictly regulated.

How to apply

Applications can only be submitted via the Sviluppumbria online portal:
